Craig A. of Irmo, SC had numerous cracks around the exterior of his home, which he knew what a sign of settlement. Craig wanted to fix these problems so that he could preserve the home for his children one day. After seeing a Cantey truck in his neighborhood, Craig called Cantey Foundation Specialists to find a solution to his settlement problem. One of our trained System Design Specialists inspected the home, and he recommended fourteen Push Piers to be installed around the front, left, and back side of the house. Our Production team installed the Push Piers with precision and got the job done the right way. Numerous exterior cracks were completely closed, and Craig knew that his home was completely and safely stabilized for many years to come.
Norbert & Annette M. experienced settlement in the sun room of their Irmo, SC home. This settlement had pinned the back door closed, and it would not work properly. After receiving a free inspection from Cantey Foundation Specialists, Specialist Will Yarbrough explained to Norbert that if we installed four push piers, it would lift and stabilize the sun room. By doing this, the door would more than likely be able to open and close correctly. Production Crew Foreman Ryan Shirley installed the four push piers, driving the piers to stable bedrock enabling the house to be completely stabilized. Now, Norbert & Annette can enjoy their sunroom and open the door to the beautiful summer breeze!
Suzan M. bought her home in Irmo, SC after years of living in an apartment. She decided she wanted more space for her and her two dogs. Since buying the home Suzan has had to do little to repair it which she counted herself lucky for. She began to notice the corner of her home sinking and cracking. Not knowing how serious this could be, she did not pay it much mind. As the cracks got worse, Suzan began to worry more about the state of what was to be her forever home. She called a company to come out and take a look but after hearing their solution, she was not certain. She needed a second opinion and after doing an internet search found Cantey Foundation Specialists. She called in and was scheduled for an appointment with System Design Specialist Brandon Privette. Brandon did a thorough inspection and found that the optimum solution for Suzan would be Cantey's Push Pier system. The Push Piers would be installed deep enough to reach competent spoil underneath the footing. The bracket of the Push Piers is then installed below the foundation's footing. Then hydraulics are used to drive the piers causing the weight of the home to be transferred through the pier to the competent soil below. This would then raise the home back to its original position. Suzan was impressed with Brandon's presentation and trusted that Cantey would fix her home properly. Production Team Leader Aubrey McJunkin, Production Team Member Oscar Mota, and Production Team Member Francisco Lopez came out and effectively installed the Push Pier system. Suzan is beyond relieved that her home is finally stable and she can get back to relaxing with her dogs.
Jack A. called Cantey Foundation Specialists because his crawl space needed to be encapsulated; he was worried about the probability of rotting wood joists, mold growth, and the fact that he could be potentially breathing in all the dirt. "It's just a mess!" Jack said.
Within a day, Production Crew Foreman Jonathan, Project Manager Sean, and Production Crew Members Ethen and Israel removed his insulation and debris, added a drain, and completely encapsulated his crawlspace.
Now, Jack can enjoy a cleaner, healthier crawl space!
Billy & Axia J. of Hartsville, SC noticed that his exterior chimney was beginning to lean away from the home. Worried that it could fall over and damage the home, they called Cantey Foundation Specialists for a free estimate. System Design Specialist Will Yarbrough inspected the exterior of their home, and found numerous exterior cracks in the brick near the chimney. Because the soil surrounding the chimney was settling, the whole exterior wall was settling with it pulling the chimney away. Specialist Will explained to Billy & Axia that the best solution is our helical piers which would lift and stabilize not only the chimney, but also the home back into place!
