Nathan did a thorough inspection before sitting down with Vivian. He explained that extra jacks had been placed long ago but they were only a temporary support. He showed her what Cantey's SmartJack system could do for her home. The SmartJack system would begin with holes being dug under the beam where the jacks would go. Then a engineered gravel would fill these holes to form a stable base that would not sink like soil. Then a metal plate is installed on top of the gravel and a steel beam is installed along the existing beams. The SmartJack is then attached to the top beam and the bottom plate.
