Josh S. of Charleston, SC called Cantey Foundation Specialists because he recently bought a new house, he wanted to make sure his home's foundation was stable.  Upon inspection and recommendation, a sump pump was installed as well as wood beam replacement to ensure stabilization of his home and floors.

Sandy B. bought her home in Charleston, SC a few years ago. Her home is over a hundred years old and one of the reasons she wanted to buy it was to give it the love it needed. The previous owner had not taken care of this beautiful home so Sandy set out to do some home improvements to restore this home to its former glory. Recently, a city water pipe burst causing damage to the crawl space she had already repaired with the SmartJack system. The water caused the wood to begin to decay and Sandy worried about what further damage it could cause her home. System Design Specialist Grayson Forehand came out and did an inspection on Sandy's crawl space. He concluded that one of the major beams would need to be replaced but it would be a simple job to complete. Production Team Leader Matt Garcia, Production Team Member Nick Riddick, and Production Team Member David Herbert arrived at Sandy's home and successfully replaced the beam. Sandy now has peace of mind that the foundation of her beautiful home is safe.

This home is located on James Island and needed some repairs before the current owner could put it on the market. Our crew went in and repaired floor joists and the subfloor where there was alot of moisture damage from standing water. The insulation also had to then be taken out and a vapor barrier was put down. This is a big improvement to the home and the owner is able to use the pictures when showing their home to prospective buyers.

David D. of Hollywood, SC noticed that his back door was having troubles closing the whole way.  Knowing that his floors were sagging in other areas as well, he stopped Specialist Grayson Forehand when he saw his Cantey truck at the gas station.  Specialist Grayson Forehand explained that it could be numerous problems from wood rot to misplaced crawl space support beams, but that he would be happy to inspect the crawl space and give him a free estimate.  A few days later, Specialist Grayson inspected David's crawl space and found that termites had eaten through most of the supporting beams.  This weakened its support system thus causing the sagging floors and issues closing the back door.  Production Crew led by Team Leader Matt Garcia completed the job by replacing all damaged wood with our treated lumber.  Now, David can close his back door fully, and he won't have to worry about any future damage!
