George R. is a homeowner in Trenton, SC. George’s home has a wonderful porch area that is suspended above the ground. The only issue with this is that his porch has become susceptible to sagging due to the lack of support under the floor. George first noticed the issue when he came home from work one day and stumbled because of the uneven surface. This bothered George so he decided to do something about it. After hearing about Cantey Foundation Specialists on the television he decided to give us a call. Specialist Nathan Bailey came out to George’s home for a free inspection. After the inspection, he explained to George that his porch was sagging due to the lack of support underneath. He then explained that Cantey’s Smart Jack system was the solution he was looking for. Team Leader Israel, Team Member Austin, and Team Member Jonathan came out to George’s house and efficiently installed his Smart Jacks. After the installation George said, “It feels sturdy now, like how I imagined it was supposed to be when they built it.” George can enjoy his porch to the fullest now that Cantey did the job right the first time.
This customer had a subfloor that had been exposed to too much moisture. Because of this, the floor was rotting and began to sag. Cantey Foundation Specialists' production crew was able to tear out and replace the subfloor.
Hollis K. of Grovetown, GA had major moistures problems in her crawl space especially after the historic October flood. After signing up for a free estimate at our Home and Garden Show booth, System Design Specialist Jamie Beresford inspected the crawl space, and he found more problems than just moisture issues. Unfortunately, the wood beams had slowly rotted away causing not only crawl space problems, but also settlement problems. Cantey corrected this with the best solution: complete wood replacement and an encapsulation system!
Brian S. of Kingstree, SC had excessive moisture in his crawl space that caused the subfloor to swell. Every time Brian walked through his bedroom, he could see a hump forming underneath the flooring. Stumbling across our advertisement in the Money Mailer in his mailbox, he decided to give Cantey Foundation Specialists a call for a free estimate. Our Appointment Center Representative Lauren Campbell had an available appointment for Brian within the week. Specialist Eddie Mathis inspected the crawl space and foundation of Brian's home, and he took numerous pictures to exemplify the damage. High levels of moisture caused the structural wood to rot, disintegrate, and become moldy. The best solution was to tear out all the bad wood, replace with our treated lumber, spray other affected areas with Mold X, and rebuild the subfloor. Cantey's crew led by Team Leader Matt Garcia were able to tear our and replace a whole room within two days! Now, Brian does not have to worry about falling through the floor or having major health issues because of the mold in his crawl space.
Tom M. of Longs, SC called Cantey Foundation Specialists because he was worried about some visible foundation cracks on the side of his home. Production Crew Foreman Sixto Lopez and Production Crew Member Mariano Amaya installed 4 push piers shortly after Tom's decision. Cantey's solution closed the small cracks on the side of his home and stabilized it from further settling. Now Tom does not have to worry about any foundation problems!
