Kevin O. bought his home in Summerville, SC a few years ago to start a family with his wife. It is the perfect home for them and they have already made many memories there. Since they moved in, Kevin noticed that the floor in the living room was sinking. Over the years, it has only gotten worse and with two young children, Kevin knew he needed to protect them as well as their home. System Design Specialist Grayson Forehand came out and did a thorough inspection of Kevin's crawl space and foundation. Grayson determined that the area underneath Kevin's living room needed extra support. He explained that the system would start with holes that would be filled with engineered gravel. This would be a solid base that would not sink over time like soil. Then a metal plate would be installed on top of the gravel and a metal beam would be installed over the existing wooden beams. A SmartJack would then be secured to the top beam and the bottom plate. Once the SmartJack is level, it is then adjusted to create the lift that the floor above needs. Kevin felt that this system could give he and his wife the peace of mind they needed in their home.
