Howard S. built his perfect family home in Columbia, SC a few years ago. It has a big backyard perfect for his family as they enjoy spending time outside. Often, they spend the whole weekend appreciating the outdoors. A few weeks ago, Howard and his family had a normal day outside until his son discovered a crack forming on the side of their home. Howard was concerned about what this would mean for a home he worked so hard to create for his family. He needed to find a company that could fix it for good. While on the way to work the following morning, he heard an advertisement for Cantey Foundation Specialists. When he called in he was set up for an appointment with System Design Specialist Richard Murphy. Richard thoroughly inspected the area and the crawlspace to ensure he did not miss any details. After the inspection, Richard was sure that the solution that Howard needed was Cantey's Push Pier system. These Push Piers would be inserted into the ground next to the cracked area deep enough to find competent soil that could handle the weight of the home. Then a heavy-duty steel bracket is placed on the bottom of the foundation footing. The Push Pier then uses the push against the competent soil to raise the foundation of the home. Production Team Leader Sixto Lopez, Production Team Member Jose Lopez, and Production Team Member Mariano Valdovines came out and effectively installed the Push Pier system. Howard is confident now that his home is safe and secure for his family.
Ranarda J. has wanted to turn her basement into something more than a storage area since she moved into her Columbia, SC home. It has been years but finally, she had the resources and time. The plan was to turn the basement into an area to host her family and friends. Ranarda started working on this project but everything came to a halt when the flooring was removed. She was told that new floors could not be laid down until her sinking concrete was fixed, it would only ruin the floors over time. The contractor she was working with suggested she call Cantey Foundation Specialists to do a free inspection. Ranarda did just that and was scheduled for an appointment with System Design Specialist, TJ Harden. TJ arrived as scheduled and did an inspection on the floor, finding that Cantey’s PolyLevel process could definitely help. Small holes would be drilled through the floor and then injection sites would be set up for the liquid polyurethane solution. This solution would be injected underneath the concrete so that it could fill all of the void. The liquid would harden quickly, forming a solid foundation and lifting the concrete back to a stable position. Ranarda wanted the PolyLevel process installed as soon as possible so that she could continue with her plans. Production Team Leader, Jeremey Wilson and Production Team Member, Nick Collins came out and effectively injected the PolyLevel process. Ranarda is almost finished with the basement she has always wanted and is excited to host her family and friends.
Bob B. and his wife have lived in their Columbia, SC home for many years but it was finally time to downsize. Bob's wife is in poor health and cannot get around as well. He thought it would be best to downsize and sell their current home. Of course, before they could not sell their home until they made some repairs. The biggest of these was the cracks that were in the wall. The drywall cracks just kept coming back and Bob believed it had to do with the foundation so he called his friend Jamie who worked for Cantey Foundation Specialists. Jamie Beresford is a System Design Specialist and as soon as he heard of Bob's struggle, he scheduled an appointment with him. Jamie did a thorough inspection for Bob and determined that he needed some extra support for the floor to permanently stabilize the foundation. The SmartJack system could do just that and would come with a transferable warranty for the next owner. He explained that the system would start with holes that would be filled with engineered gravel. This would be a solid base that would not sink over time like soil. Then a metal plate would be installed on top of the gravel and a metal beam would be installed over the existing wooden beams. A SmartJack would then be secured to the top beam and the bottom plate. Once the SmartJack is level, it is then adjusted to create the lift that the floor above needs. Bob felt that this system would solve this reoccurring issue and allow him to sell his home so he signed the contract that day. Production Crew Leader Dallas Elgin, Production Crew Member Josh Hough, and Production Crew Member Tristan Humphries came out and effectively installed the SmartJack system. Bob can now sell his home with ease and he is thankful to the team at Cantey for helping him get his home ready.
Debra C. of Columbia, SC could feel her kitchen and dining room floors bend and sag when she walked in her home. Worried that this could be a major problem, she found Cantey Foundation Specialists online and called for a free estimate. Specialist John Adams inspected Debra's crawl space, and he found high levels of humidity and rotting wood beams. Specialist John Adams explained to Debra that the rotting wood beams caused the floors to weaken, and that they needed to be replaced with treated wood. However, he also recommended our CleanSpace encapsulation system to protect the new treated lumber and to prevent any future moisture problems in the crawl space.
Dora H. is a homeowner in Columbia, SC who has had an issue with her floors sagging in the past. She had a contractor come out and install temporary jacks, which would solve the problem but only for a while. The biggest issue is that temporary jacks aren't made to hold up your home indefinitely so they bend and settle as time goes on. This is exactly what happened in Dora's case. She began to notice a few months after the contractors had left that her floors started to sag again and became bouncy. She was tired of the short term solutions and decided to call Cantey Foundation Specialists. Specialist John Adams came out to Dora's home and explained to her that Cantey's patented Smart Jack system was the long term solution she needed. Smart Jacks work to displace the weight of the house through a 2x2x2 engineer filled space to prevent settling. Team Leader Israel, Team Member Austin, and Team Member Jonathan were quickly sent to Dora's home and installed the Smart Jacks. Dora was so happy that Cantey came and gave her a long term solution that she could rely on. "I would have never went to those other guys if I knew Cantey would do such a good job".
