Foundation Repair Photo Album: Push Piers Protect Family in Simpsonville, SC
Mark H. just moved into his Simpsonville, SC home a few weeks ago and has since settled in. His family is liking the new environment and the kids are enjoying their new school. While cutting the grass one afternoon, Mark noticed that there was a crack in his foundation. He worried that this would get worse and put his family in danger. He needed to find a company that could provide a permanent solution. Mark asked a few of his co-workers if they had any suggestions and one of them told him about Cantey Foundation Specialists. Mark looked up the number and called in to schedule an inspection. System Design Specialist Jerod Tafta was schedule for the appointment and arrived at Mark's home ready to inspect. After the inspection, Jerod sat down with Mark to explain how Cantey's Push Pier system could protect his home and family. The Push Piers would be installed deep enough to reach competent spoil underneath the footing. The bracket of the Push Piers is then installed below the foundation's footing. Then hydraulics are used to drive the piers causing the weight of the home to be transferred through the pier to the competent soil below. This would then raise the home back to its original position. Mark was excited to see the Push Piers in action and scheduled an installation date. Production Team Leader Sixto Lopez, Production Team Member Jose Lopez, and Production Team Member Mariano Valdovines came out and successfully installed the Push Pier system. Mark no longer has an unsightly crack on his home and is confident that his family is safe.
