Foundation Repair Photo Album: Kitchen Remodel Starts with Push Piers in Irmo, SC
Suzan M. just bought her home in Irmo, SC less than a year ago in the hopes to have a space that was slightly bigger than her apartment. She wanted to be able to spend her retirement somewhere that she could enjoy a backyard and a big kitchen. Unfortunately for Suzan, her dreams of the perfect kitchen were whisked away by the ever-increasing gap between her top cabinets and the ceiling. This problem was pointed out to her by the contractor that was going to remodel her kitchen. He told Suzan that she had to fix her foundation before any work was done and recommended Cantey Foundation Specialists. Suzan called in and scheduled an appointment with System Design Specialist Brandon Privette. When Brandon arrived for the appointment he immediately noticed the problem. He told Suzan that Cantey's Push Pier system would be the right solution to lift and stabilize her foundation. The Push Piers would be installed deep enough to reach competent spoil underneath the footing. The bracket of the Push Piers is then installed below the foundation's footing. Then hydraulics are used to drive the piers causing the weight of the home to be transferred through the pier to the competent soil below. This would then raise the home back to its original position. Suzan decided that she must utilize this solution in order to have the kitchen of her dreams. Production Team Leader Aubrey McJunkin, Production Team Member Oscar Mota, and Production Team Member Francisco Lopez came out and successfully installed the Push Pier system. Suzan is moving forward with her contractor to create the beautiful kitchen she has always wanted thanks to the help Cantey could provide.
