Shimming Does Not Work!
Customer Sherri attempted to fix the problem herself by "shimming" the pier, meaning the wedging of wood in the gap between the pier and the beam that holds the floor above. This is not a permanent solution, and it will not lift your floor back into place.
Duct Work
Cantey also recommended fixing her duct work originally as to keep it clean and orderly, which was completed by Foreman Israel Santana.
Adjustable SmartJacks
The galvanized SmartJack will never rust of falter under the weight of the home, and it is also adjustable when needed. Our competitors do not offer such great products!
Supplemental Beams
The SmartJack rests against the galvanized steel beam to ensure that it has the complete strength to stabilize the home for many years to come. The beam is necessary because if the SmartJack was attached to certain wood beams, it would create pressure points that would hurt the structure.
Level Floors
After the work was completed, Foreman Israel Santana checked to make sure the floor was completely leveled.
