First Inspection
Customers John & Laurie G.'s crawl space looked to be in fine shape; however, upon closer inspection, System Design Specialist Jamie Beresford found some inadequate crawl space jacks. This "quick solution" was not supporting the weight of the structure correctly.
Quick and Easy Solution is Not the Best Solution
This crawl space jack was probably bought at a home improvement store for a quick and easy solution to the sagging floor problem. However, it does not address the soil settlement issue, and it is not heavy duty enough to lift and stabilize correctly.
SmartJack Strength
Cantey's patented SmartJack is made out of galvanized steel, so it will never rust and it will never falter under the weight. Our SmartJacks are also completely adjustable, so it can fit in the smallest and the tallest of crawl spaces.
Fourteen SmartJacks
Fourteen SmartJacks were installed with twenty-eight feet of supplemental beam in John & Laurie G.'s crawl space. These 5 SmartJacks pictured were placed under the kitchen to support the floor and close the crack in the wall behind the fridge.
