Mold and Moisture Issue Resolved for Chapin, SC Homeowner
Challenge
This home owner was noticing a moldy smell in his home as well as bouncy floors when he walked through some areas. After calling Cantey Foundation Specialists and having Eddie come out and inspect his crawl space, he was made aware of the terrible moisture problem under his home dispite that fact that he had a vapor barrier put down years earlier. We were able to offer him the correct solution for his problem.
Solution
First of all, Matt and his crew cleaned out the debris and old vapor barrier that were under the house. The wood joists and beams under the home were wiped down and our Mold-X treatment was used to get rid of the mold which will make for a much healthier home. Some drainage matting was put down along with a new vapor barrier. Also, a couple of smart jacks were needed to level the floors that were bouncing. When the job was complete Matt was able to take the homeowner into his nice dry, clean, crawl space!
