Foundation Repair Products Photo Album: Helical Piers Revive Beautiful Pool Area in Evans, GA
Katie and Jeramie M. of Evans, GA just moved into their forever home about a year ago. With its spacious interior and a beautiful pool out back it is all they ever dreamed of for a home. They often enjoy the pool in the afternoons and on the weekends with family and friends. Recently they noticed that the area beside the pool that holds the fire pit was starting to lean creating an unsightly crack. Jeramie had a company come out and look at the problem area but was not sure that the solution he was showed would work. Jeramie and Katie wanted to be positive whatever solution they chose would be lasting. Katie did a search on the internet to find a company that would provide the proper help. She found Cantey Foundation Specialists and called in to see how they could help. Jeramie and Katie set up an appointment with System Design Specialist Alexander Lovette. When Alexander came out to inspect he found that this area needed the assistance of Cantey's Helical Pier system to have the proper foundation. The soil was washing out underneath causing the concrete to sink but with the Helical Piers in place, there would no longer be problems. Alexander further explained the process that starts with inserting the pier into the ground at a level where it would hit the competent soil underneath. This soil has to be strong enough to hold the weight of the concrete. Then the bracket of the pier would hold the bottom of the concrete. The Helical Pier would then use hydraulics to push against the competent soil and lift up on the bracket causing the concrete to lift and become level. This would solidify the foundation under the concrete making a lasting solution. Production Team Leader Sixto Lopez, Production Team Member Jesus Gonzalez, and Production Team Member Mariano Valdovines came out and effectively installed the Helical Pier system. Katie and Jeramie are back to appreciating their beautiful pool area with family and friends thanks to Cantey's lasting solution.
