PolyLevel, Push Piers, And Helical Piers Save Home in Easley, SC
Challenge
Brian M. is a homeowner in Easley, SC. Brian’s home was in disrepair for a while. He wasn’t sure where to go because of the severity of the damages that had already been done. The back of his home and the concrete slab in his garage were deteriorated and cracked. He contemplated tearing down the damaged portions of his home and rebuilding but that wasn’t really a path that he wanted to travel down because of the cost that it would accrue. After his mother in law told him about Cantey Foundation Specialists he decided to give us a call. Specialist Katherine Dillion came out for a free inspection. After the inspection, Specialist Katherine went on to explain how Cantey’s patented Push Piers, Helical Piers, and PolyLevel systems would be essential to ensure his home's survival.
Solution
Push Piers and Helical Piers work very similarly to each other; however, Helical Piers are required for greater ground depths between the surface and the bedrock. Brian’s home was in a rather peculiar spot so Specialist Katherine recommended that Push Piers be used on the backside of his home since that was the area with less depth between the surface and bedrock. The sides however had a deeper distance between the surface and bedrock so she recommended that Helical Piers be placed there to properly stabilize and lift the home. For the garage, she recommended our PolyLevel process be injected to lift and level the slab back into place. PolyLevel combines resin and ISO to create a polyurethane. This combination expands and hardens to lift slabs back to where they need to be. Team Leader Aubrey, Team Member Oscar, and Team Member Frank came out and effectively installed the Push Piers and Helical Piers. Then Team Leader TJ and Team Member Jeremey came out to inject the Polylevel. Afterwards, Brian was so happy at the amount of improvement that took place. He couldn’t believe how well it all turned out. Now Brian wouldn’t have to tear down and rebuild because Cantey was able to do the job right.
