Little River Home's Foundation and Crawl Space Completely Renovated
Challenge
Customer James L. of Little River, SC called Cantey because he had severe wood rot throughout his home. System Design Specialist Eddie Mathis proposed the solution of push piers, SmartJacks, replacement of all the wooden framework, joists, and subfloor, and then a complete CleanSpace encapsulation. This large job was not only costly, but it also needed to be done in a timely fashion. The customer wanted the job to be finished before Christmas because they had to move out of the home while it was worked on.
Solution
Both Production Crew Foreman Sixto and Production Crew Foreman Israel’s crews stepped up the challenge. Foreman Sixto and Crew Member Mariano installed 13 push piers around the perimeter of the home on the first day.
Foreman Israel’s crew consisting of Crew Members Samson V., David H., and Chris H. began working on the wood rot replacement. Removing all the insulation and tearing out all of the floors, the crew began to rebuild the structural framework. Nearing Christmas, the crew worked hard to finish the remaining SumpPump system, 4 Smart Jacks, and CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation.
In a week and a half, Cantey was able to finish a complete foundation renvoation for customer James L, just in time to celebrate Christmas and New Years. We were happy to help James and his family be able to live in a safer and sounder home that will no longer have mold or wood rot problems!
