Bowing Wall Repair in Fort Mill
Challenge
The master bathroom of this home had several issues attributed to the foundation. The floors were sloped, doors wouldn't close and drywall was cracking. When we went to inspect it we found that he cause of all this was a basement wall that was bowing in the crawl space. This wall was causing the load-bearing wall in the garage to shift which in turn was causing the issues with the bathroom.
Solution
In order to fix the master bathroom first we had to fix the basement wall two floors below. To do this we first had to excavate part of the concrete in the garage. We dug down eight feet in order to install four GeoLock Wall Anchors. We also removed part of the drywall on the wall in the garage directly under the bathroom so that we could re-frame and stabilize the support the wall in order to install the GeoLock Wall Anchors. After everything was finished the bowing wall was fixed as well as the carpentry around and above it. Now these homeowners do not have to worry about their master bathroom sinking into their garage anymore.
