Dirty, Damp Crawl Space
Stephanie and Kenny D. knew they wanted an encapsulation system because they were tired of the dirty, damp crawl space and wanted it to be clean and bright!
Fallen Crawl Space Column
These sagging floors occurred over time because of the settlement of the masonry columns. Some columns eroded away, while others completely fell over because of lack of stabilization.
Vapor Barrier
Before the encapsulation process, drainage matting must be laid first. This allows water to flow freely beneath the vapor barrier towards the sump pump, rather than just covering up and trapping the stagnant water.
Mid-Way of Installation of SmartSump
The placement of SmartSump must be completed before the encapsulation process begins. The gravel allows correct drainage and easy movement of water into the sump pump.
SmartSump Pump Included in CleanSpace Encapsulation System
The SmartSump Pump is installed at the lowest point of the crawl space because water naturally pools in that area. The SmartSump then pumps the water out of the crawl space away from the home.
SmartSump Pump Alarm System
A SmartSump alarm system is installed to alert the homeowner if flooding or malfunction occurs.
Seven SmartJacks Installed
This SmartJack was installed strategically beneath the dining room floor lifting it back into place, thus fixing the sagging floor issue.
Completed Encapsulation
The CleanSpace material is wrapped around the columns, piers, and majority of the crawl space walls to keep all moisture issues at bay.
Dehumidifier Also included in CleanSpace Encapsulation System
This dehumidifier is one of the finishing touches of the CleanSpace encapsulation systems because it will keep moisture levels low in the crawl space. This ensures that mold and rot will never be a worry in the crawl space for years to come.
