Evelyn and Ugene B. of Gadsden, SC bought their home over fifty years ago, but after thirty years, Ugene noticed that his floors were sloping and that the doors and windows were sticking in the kitchen and living room. Thinking the problem was the floors themselves, Ugene hired a contractor to replace the floors. However within another ten years, the problem had come creeping back. Confident that it was now a foundation issue, Evelyn and Ugene called Cantey Foundation Specialists to find the correct and permanent solution.

Small Crawlspace

This small crawl space was only two feet tall in some areas, but this did not stop Cantey! Our crews were still able to fit into the small spaces and correct the issues at hand.

Columns

Numerous supporting columns underneath the house had cracked under the pressure of the home, and they also began to settle into the soil. This left the structure of the home unsupported in areas, which caused the sloping floors.

SmartJack System

After replacing the outer rim joist and installing new support beams, the Production Crew installed the three SmartJacks to lift and stabilize the floor back into place.

Inspection

Upon inspection by System Design Specialist James Davis, he found not only rotting wood and missing foundation, but also settling crawl space jacks and drainage problems in the crawl space.

The three installed SmartJacks are completely adjustable and personalized for your individual crawl space, so they are able to fit in not only small spaces but also tall ones too.
