PolyLevel Used For Driveway in Roebuck, SC
Challenge
Allen W. is a homeowner in Roebuck, SC who enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. However, a few years back he began to notice cracks running the length of his driveway but he thought nothing of it at the time. As time went on, he began to notice that not only were the cracks getting bigger but also that the slab was sinking in spots. It was at this time that he decided to do something about it. Allen called Cantey Foundation Specialists, and Specialist Alex Lovette visited Allen's home and assured him that Cantey could fix it. Alex explained that when concrete slabs begin to sink that this is an indication of settling or void pockets appearing underneath the concrete causing it to shift and sink. Alex then explained that with Cantey's patented PolyLevel technology that we could raise and level the concrete. This process is safer and more innovative than traditional methods like mud jacking.
Solution
The way that the PolyLevel process works is by mixing Resin and Iso, which are two chemicals that react together to form a foam like liquid that over time spreads and hardens like concrete. PolyLevel is injected underneath the slab through holes that are strategically placed by Team Members to react as effectively as possible. The liquid form of the spreading mixture flows down the path of least resistance and fills in the void and crevasses. The combination of the spreading and hardening liquid compacts the dirt underneath and raises the slab due to the created force. This in turn raises and effectively levels the concrete in question. Team Leader Roberto came to Allen's house and injected this PolyLevel formula underneath his concrete and as promised the sunken slabs were raised. Allen's family now can spend time outdoors without the worry and hassle of an uneven surface.
