PolyLevel Driveway in Lexington, SC
Challenge
Chris and Dayna's driveway has been giving them some trouble for a while now. It has got to the point where their kids can't play, skateboard, or ride bikes in the driveway without the fear of tripping and getting hurt. Chris and Dayna's driveway is settling, which occurs whenever erosion happens underneath concrete slabs. This erosion creates pockets or voids underneath that cause the area above it to give way to the force of gravity. This can happen with any concrete slab from a home's foundation to the deck around your pool. Chris and Dayna's driveway got so bad that they had trouble driving over it everyday. They decided to do something so they called Cantey Foundation Specialists to help fix their problem. Specialist Jamie Beresford was sent to the job and explained to Chris and Dayna that Cantey's patented PolyLevel process was the answer they were looking for.
Solution
PolyLevel is a process in which two chemicals, Resin and Iso, are mixed together to form a foam like liquid that spreads and hardens. It is injected through a hole drilled by our team, and it flows underneath the slab to the path of least resistance ensuring that the voids and crevasses are filled. Once PolyLevel has filled in the voids and spreads, it will then begin to push on itself and the force created will raise and level the concrete slab to a desired point. PolyLevel is more efficient, less evasive and safer to use than traditional means of concrete leveling such as mud jacking. Production Team Leader Roberto and Team Member Nick quickly came to Chris and Dayna's rescue by injecting the PolyLevel under their driveway, thus making it into a playable area once again.
