Commercial Foundations Photo Album: SmartJacks Make Family Time Safe Again in Columbia, SC

Jack G. and his wife have lived in their Columbia, SC home for many years now. It was the perfect home for them to spend time with their grandchildren in. Most weekends they have their grandchildren and of course, there is plenty of running around and having fun. One Saturday, their youngest grandkid misstepped over the bouncing living room floor. Jack knew that this had been going on for some time but did not think much of it. When the safety of his grandchildren was in question though, he wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible. The only problem was finding a company he could trust to get the job done right. Jack remembered that he had a friend that had work done on their home and called to see what company they used. He was referred to Cantey Foundation Specialists and was told what an excellent job they had done. Jack called in and was scheduled for an appointment with System Design Specialist John Adams. John arrived for the appointment and did a thorough inspection of Jack's crawl space. During the inspection, he found that there were several areas of the crawl space that needed extra support to ensure that the structure was safe. John sat down with Jack and told him about how Cantey's SmartJack system could provide the extra support that the home needed. The SmartJack system would start with soil removal under the areas that need extra support for each SmartJack. These areas are then filled with tightly compacted crushed stone to create a solid base for the SmartJacks. The footing is then installed on top of the stone and then each SmartJack is cut to perfectly fit the crawl space. The SmartJacks are then attached to the beam above and then adjusted to establish lift and stabilization. Jack was impressed with what this system could do for him and trusted that Cantey could fix his floors for his grandchildren's safety. Production Team Leader Sixto Lopez, Production Team Member Mariano Valdovines, and Production Team Member Jose Lopez came out and effectively installed the SmartJack system. Jack and his wife no longer have to worry about the safety of their grandchildren as they make memories together.
