Commercial Foundations Photo Album: SmartJacks Make an Overdue Change in Simpsonville, SC

Scott and Crystal H. moved into their family home in the Spring of 2006. They had always lived in Simpsonville, SC but needed a bigger home for a growing family. Over the years, Scott and Crystal have worked through the trials and tribulations of being parents. Often, their home repairs went on the back burner as they did their best to give their children their full attention. When they moved in, they noticed a soft spot in the living room that they never got around to getting looked at. Not long ago, they started to see the foyer floor sinking. Now that their children are older, they felt it was time to address the situation. While on the way to work one day, Scott heard a commercial for Cantey Foundation Specialists. He decided to call in and schedule a free inspection to see what was going on with his floors. System Design Specialist Dallas Rabideaux met with Scott and Crystal and told them that he would do a thorough inspection of their crawl space. After his inspection, Dallas explained that their floors needed extra support which Cantey's SmartJack system could provide. The SmartJack system would begin with soil being removed at the sites where the SmartJacks would be installed. These sections are then filled with tightly compact crushed stone and a footing is installed on top. Each SmartJack is then cut to specifically fit the area in which it will be installed. The SmartJack is attached to the footing and then to the beam above. Once each SmartJack is secure, they are adjusted to create lift and stabilization. Scott and Crystal felt like with the SmartJack system their floors would finally be fixed for good. Production Team Leader Jonathan Lowder, Production Team Member David Herbert, and Production Team Member Matthew Kelley came out and successfully installed the SmartJack system. Scott and Crystal finally have the peace of mind they have been wanting from the time they moved in thanks to Cantey.
