Commercial Foundations Photo Album: SmartJacks Add to Crawl Space Improvement in Goose Creek, SC

Amy J. is a homeowner in Goose Creek, SC that was a previous customer of Cantey Foundation Specialists. She had Cantey install a CleanSpace system in her crawl space to help with a moisture problem she was having. Since then she has been able to enjoy her crawl space as a storage space as well as no longer having moisture problems. When she noticed that her foyer was sloping she knew she had to get it fixed. Amy already had trust in Cantey because of the work they had previously done. She decided to call in and make an appointment with System Design Specialist Grayson Forehand. Grayson did his inspection and told Amy that Cantey definitely had the right solution for her. He told her that sections of soil would be removed where each SmartJack would be installed and filled with tightly compacted crushed stone. This stone would create a solid foundation for the footing that would be placed on top of it, then a galvanized steel beam, a SmartJack, would be attached to the footing. Each steel beam would be attached to a long beam that would run along the top of the crawl space to give the floor lift. The SmartJacks would then be adjusted to create lift and a stable foundation. Amy agreed this was the solution she wanted to implement because she worried about her families' safety due to the stairs being located in the foyer. Production Team Leader Dallas Darity, Production Team Member Dallas Elgin, and Production Team Member David Watson came out and effectively installed the SmartJack system. Amy now has the peace of mind that her family will be safe and loves that her crawl space is in such great shape.
