Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: CleanSpace Protects Home and Memories in Camden, SC
Joyce B. has lived in her Camden, SC home since her children were young. It is the only place she would call home because of the many memories made there. When her husband passed away, Joyce had no idea how to handle home repairs. He had always taken care of those sorts of projects but now Joyce needed help. There was mold growing in the vents, causing Joyce to become sick due to her allergies. She saw a truck one day with Cantey Foundation Specialists on it and called the number to set up an inspection. System Design Specialist Jason Hugg went out and did a thorough inspection of Joyce's crawl space. Afterward, Jason sat down with her to explain what he had found during his inspection. There was high moisture content in the crawl space which was causing the mold in the vents. Jason explained that Cantey's CleanSpace system would be the right solution. The CleanSpace system could begin with the installation of drainage matting to help moisture flow to a SmartSump. The SmartSump would pump all excess moisture out of the barrier. After that, a thick liner of CleanSpace material is installed across the floor, piers, and walls of the crawl space. This creates a strong barrier between the ground and outside away from the crawl space as well as the home above. Joyce believed that Jason was providing her with the best possible solution that could help her and her home. Production Team Leader Trey Dukes, Production Team Member Estevan Lopez, Production Team Member Jonathan Whitaker, and Production Team Member Dillon Buckliew came out and effectively installed the CleanSpace system. Joyce no longer has to worry about mold causing her problems and has peace of mind that her home, as well as the memories made there, are protected.
All Covered
Team Members Estevan and Jonathan make sure the CleanSpace material is measured just right to cover this area of the crawl space.
Finishing Up
The piers begin to take shape as Team Member Jonathan secures the CleanSpace material around the piers before using spray foam adhesive at the top for a complete pier.
Double Checking
The CleanSpace material has to be cut just right to ensure the barrier is complete, Team Member Dillon makes sure he got the right cut to fit the pier.
The Perfect Seal
Team Member Estevan secures the sections of material with CleanSpace tape which creates the waterproof barrier that is so vital to this solution.
