Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: CleanSpace Becomes a Lasting Solution for Homeowner in Gaffney, SC

Russell S. has lived in his Gaffney, SC home for a few years now. It is the first home he was able to purchase on his own. As a bachelor, he is often not home and tends not to notice the repairs that are needed at home. This repair, however, could not be ignored. Russell had started to notice a moldy smell and then noticed the mold on his air vents. He knew that the previous owner had replaced rotten wood before. Russell remembered seeing a commercial for Cantey Foundation Specialists on the news one morning so he looked up the number and called in. System Design Specialist Jerod Tafta was scheduled to inspect Russell's home. Upon inspection, Jerod found that Russell needed to do something more than just replace rotten wood. Jerod sat down with Russell to explain how replacing the wood is just a temporary fix. Cantey's CleanSpace solution would keep his crawl space dry and be a lasting solution for his moisture problems. The CleanSpace system would start with drainage matting being placed on the floor of the crawl space to assist all the moisture to flow to the SmartSump. The SmartSump would pump all the excess moisture outside to keep the area underneath the CleanSpace material dry. The CleanSpace material would be installed over the drainage matting, piers, and walls of the crawl space. Then a spray foam adhesive is installed along the edges of the material to secure the bond between the CleanSpace and crawl space. Russell wanted to get the CleanSpace installed as a lasting solution to keep him from needing further repair. Production Team Leader Israel Santana, Production Team Member Austin Boan, and Production Team Member Zenen Dominguez came out and effectively installed the CleanSpace system. Russell has been able to tell a huge difference with the CleanSpace system installed and plans to take home repairs more seriously moving forward.
