Before piers installation
You can see the crack along the side of the chimney as well as the stair-step cracks. Stair-step cracks are the most common visible sign of foundation settlement.

Driving the piers
Here you can see the piers being driven into the earth until bedrock is hit.

Installed piers
The piers are now fully in place. All that is left to do is to fill in the holes and lay the brick pavers down.

After push piers were installed
After the two piers were installed, this is what the side of the chimney looks like. No more cracks and no more settlement.

Finished jobsite
Everything is back to where it is supposed to be now.
