Photo Album: Helical Piers Lift Lake Home in Ridgeway, SC

Chuck H. bought a lake house in Ridgeway, SC a few years ago. Since then he and his friends have made some great memories there. During the summer and warmer weather, they always get out on the boat. This home is Chuck's place to relax and it means a lot to him. Recently, he noticed cracking on the lake house and the guest house. These cracks were on the side of each and seemed to just be getting worse. Chuck was friends with System Design Specialist John Adams from Cantey Foundation Specialists and gave him a call. John told Chuck he would make it out that week to do an inspection. When John arrived he immediately got to work doing an inspection on each of the buildings. John sat down with Chuck after the inspection and told him about Cantey's Helical Piers. First, the soil is removed from the area where the helical piers will be installed. Then each pier is drilled into the ground to find competent soil. A heavy-duty bracket is then positioned below the footing after which the weight of the home is transferred through the piers lifting the home back to its original position. Chuck believed that John was giving him the best lasting solution and scheduled an installation date. Production Team Leader Juan Ramirez, Production Team Member Matthew Williams, and Production Team Member Robert Gardner came out and effectively installed the Helical Piers to Chuck's lake home and guest house. Chuck no longer has to worry about his favorite place having further foundation problems.
