Photo Album: Woodworking Rescues Son from Harmful Mold in Greer, SC
Kim and Kevin S. have owned their Greer, SC home since 2005 which is where they raised their children. Their son still lives in the home but they have since moved because they started their own business. Owning a business keeps them both extremely busy. Their son called Kevin one day complaining about a moldy smell in the house. Unfortunately, Kevin forgot about the call altogether and the problem continued to get worse. When their son came to visit he brought it up again and Kevin went over to take a look. The crawl space was riddled with rotting wood which was the cause of the smell. System Design Specialist Jerod Tafta arrived for the scheduled inspection to find exactly what Kevin did. Jerod told Kim and Kevin that Cantey often did wood rot replacement and could handle the job with no problems. They would extract the rotting wood and replace each beam with brand new wood. Production Team Leader Israel Santana, Production Team Member Jonathan Lowder, and Production Team Member Matthew Kelley came out and successfully replaced the wood. Kim and Kevin now have the peace of mind that their son is not exposed to harmful mold and recommend Cantey to anyone with crawl space or foundation issues.
