Photo Album: Homeowner in Rembert, SC Breathes Healthier Air Thanks to CleanSpace
Christine A. built her home in Rembert, SC a few years ago in order to get away from the suburbs. As a single mother, she wanted her kids to have a quiet and safe environment to grow up in. All was well until major flooding hit the area and problems began with Christine's home. She began to notice a moldy smell in her home and none of her efforts to get rid of it were helping. She started to wonder if all of the flooding had, in turn, caused moisture damage in her crawl space. While watching the evening news she saw a commercial for Cantey Foundation Specialists. It said that Cantey had free no obligation inspections so Christine felt she had nothing to lose by having someone just come out to take a look. System Design Specialist Jason Hardage was scheduled to come out and did his inspection to find that mold had started to grow in the crawl space. Specialist Jason reassured Christine that she should not worry, Cantey could fix it. Jason explained Cantey's patented CleanSpace system would resolve Christine's moisture problem and prevent any further damage. The CleanSpace system consists of a liner being measured and cut to fit the whole crawl space. The liner would then be attached using a spray foam adhesive to secure the bond between the CleanSpace material and the crawl space. This would create a barrier that would keep moisture from further damaging the crawl space and pull out any excess moisture. Production Team Leader Israel Santana, Production Team Member Jonathan Lowder, and Production Team Member Austin Boan came out and successfully installed the CleanSpace system to Christine's home. Christine is now back to enjoying her home with the peace of mind that she and her children are breathing safer, healthier air.
Bad Sign
Insulation falling is a bad indicator meaning that there is moisture damage happening in a crawl space.
Perfect Growing Environment
Crawl spaces with moisture problems are the right environment for mold to begin to grow because of the moisture, cooler temperature, and darkness.
First Steps to Improvement
The CleanSpace system begins by wrapping the existing piers and securing them with spray foam adhesive.
Going Up the Wall
The CleanSpace system is installed up the walls, along the floor, and around any surface of the crawl space for a total barrier.
More Than One Use
The CleanSpace system creates a healthier home and eliminates moisture damage but can also help a crawl space become an additional storage area.
