Photo Album: Woodworking Recreates the Structure and Integrity of Laurens, SC Home
James H. built his home for his wife and children in 1974. Creating the perfect home for his children to grow up in and he and his wife to grow old in. He has taken care of every aspect of his home since its completion in 1974. After a termite inspection, the inspector told James that he had some rotting wood joists in his crawl space. James immediately had someone come out to replace them however, the job was not done right therefore not solving the issue. Due to the condition of his crawl space getting worse, James looked for someone else to do the job right. While watching the news one morning he saw an advertisement for Cantey Foundation Specialists and decided to give them a call. James was set up with an appointment with System Design Specialist Katherine Dillon. After coming out and doing an inspection Katherine told James that Cantey could definitely help by doing woodworking to fix the problem properly. Production Team Leader Sixto Lopez, Production Team Member Oscar Cortez, Production Team Member Mariano Valdovines, and Production Team Member Jose Lopez came out and properly removed the rotting wood joists then replaced them with new wood to create a cleaner and healthier crawl space. James is now confident in the structure and integrity of his family's home.
Trapped Moisture Becomes Noticeable
Moisture trapped underneath a crawl space creates damage just like this.
Not a Problem Solver
Partial replacement of wood does not fully solve a rotting problem, it is simply a short lived solution.
Heading in the Wrong Direction
If wood replacement is not done or is not done properly this can lead to additional structural damage down the road.
Healthier Air to Breathe
Damage such as mold and rot can find its way into your home through the air you breathe. Replacement not only helps the health of your home but yours as well.
