Photo Album: Home Improvement Dreams Come True in Forest City, NC

Patricia S. has owned her home in Forest City, NC for 40 years. A few years ago she began to notice her floors sloping in her kitchen. Patricia did not pay this much attention until she started doing some home improvements. She felt her home needed to be updated and that included the flooring in the kitchen. She had always wanted to put hardwood floors in her kitchen but her sloping floors were a problem. It was necessary to level the kitchen before she could move forward with this project. Patricia saw an advertisement on TV for Cantey Foundation Specialists and decided to give them a call for a free no-obligation estimate. System Design Specialist Katherine Dillon came out and inspected Patricia's crawl space. There Katherine found that the sloping kitchen floors were due to the poor foundation under the home. Katherine explained to Patricia that the best solution would be Cantey's patented SmartJack system. With the SmartJack system, a cube of soil is removed and then filled with tightly packed crushed stone. A footing is then placed on top that would attach to a steel column which would run along the entire crawl space. Each footing would give the floor lift and could be adjusted in the future if any movement occurred. Production Team Leader Dallas Darity, Production Team Member Dallas Elgin, Production Team Member David Watson, and Production Team Member Robert Gardner came out and successfully installed the SmartJack system to Patricia's home. Patricia is now installing hardwood flooring in her kitchen and is thankful to Cantey for helping her accomplish her home improvement dreams.
