Photo Album: Moisture Issues Corrected in Fountain Inn, SC Crawl Space
Mark H. was having moisture issues in his crawl space at his Fountain Inn home, which included flooding and drainage problems. Wanting to fix the problem right away before mold and wood rot could occur, he called Cantey Foundation Specialists for a free estimate. System Design Specialist Mark Richey inspected Mark's crawl space, and Specialist Mark informed the customer about our patented CleanSpace encapsulation System which includes a sump pump, dehumidifier, drainage system, and a thick vapor barrier. This ensured that the crawl space would remain dry all year long, and it would also be bright and clean. Deciding this is the best and most permanent solution, Mark scheduled for the work to be completed. Production Crew led by Foreman Dallas Darity began work shortly after, and they completed the work in a timely manner with professional results. Now, Mark no longer has to worry about drainage issues or a dark wet crawl space!
Large Rocks and Dirt Throughout Crawl Space
One of the problems the production crew stumbled upon was the large concrete slab chunks throughout the crawl space. This took time to dig each large piece out and remove it from the area to ensure the best graded crawl space for a complete CleanSpace. At Cantey, we fix it and we fix it right.
Drainage issues
Pooling of water around the AC unit and throughout the crawl space were signs of drainage issues.
Wall Encapsulation
The CleanSpace encapsulation is also put on the walls of the crawl space; this ensures that water seeping in through the foundation walls will go directly into the sump pump and away from the crawl space.
CleanSpace Wrapped
The CleanSpace vapor barrier is also wrapped around the beams of the crawl space to ensure complete encapsulation.
