Photo Album: Interior and Exterior Cracks Fixed in Irmo, SC Home
George M. of Irmo, SC had numerous cracks throughout the exterior and interior of his home. Knowing this was a foundation issue, he called Cantey Foundation Specialists to find the correct solution. System Design Specialist Jason Hardage inspected the home and found not only settlement issues, but also drainage issues in the crawl space of the home. By draining water away from the house and completely stabilizing the home's structure through Push Piers and SmartJacks, George was able to have peace of mind knowing that his home was not settling further and further into the soil.
Interior Cracks
At the top of the stairway, an unmistakable massive crack appeared in the vaulted ceiling. This was a major concern for the homeowner, and the last straw before calling Cantey.
Column Crack
Another visible crack appeared on the column separating the spacious and open layout of the living room and kitchen. If George would've waited any longer, this structure would have been completely unsupported and very unsafe.
Pushing Piers
Sixteen piers were pushed fifteen feet below to stabilize the perimeters of the home.
